Benchmarking
Benchmarking compares your consumption against typical values for your building type. You can see at a glance whether you are above or below the average for comparable buildings.
Note: Benchmarking is part of the advanced analysis, which is included from the Growing plan upwards. The comparison is only available for consumption meters.
How the comparison works
Two values are shown side by side:
- Your Usage: the actual measured quantity in the selected period.
- Typical: <building type>: the expected consumption according to the standard load profile (SLP) for your building type, scaled to your building size.
Next to these you see the percentage deviation vs SLP. A plus means you consume more than typical, a minus means less.

What the comparison needs
For Benchmarking to calculate, a few details must be complete:
- The meter must be assigned to a location.
- A building type must be set for the location.
- Depending on the building type, we need the floor area, the number of persons, or the number of units.
If any of these details are missing, we show a notice and link directly to the location settings.
Set load profile
Using the "Set load profile" action you can assign a suitable standard load profile (SLP) to one or more meters. In the dialogue you first select the location, then the meters without a profile, and finally the load profile. Only locations with a building type appear here. The building type itself is set directly on the location.
Multiple meters
With multiple meters selected, we compare the sum against a combined benchmark across all locations. This requires that the meters use the same load profile. Otherwise we ask you to make a matching selection or to set the missing profile.
